Wes Hook
Attorney
As the first lawyer in his family, Wes Hook found his calling in fighting for the rights of injured workers. He takes pride in reminding companies that it’s always more expensive to place their own profits above the safety of the workers they depend on.
“At Arnold & Itkin, we know results matter. Too many companies think they can save money at the expense of their employees’ welfare. That’s why we fight every day to remind them—if you don’t do what’s right to keep your employees safe, the consequences will always be more expensive.”
Biography
Wes grew up in Holland, Michigan before attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude with a double major in philosophy and political science before earning his Juris Doctorate at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Vanderbilt, he earned Scholastic Excellence Awards in Evidence and Insurance & Litigation for achieving the highest grade in both classes. He also founded the Vanderbilt Plaintiff’s Advocacy and Litigation Society, a student organization that helps connect other law students with opportunities to work for real people, not just big corporations.
Wes joined Arnold & Itkin as a law clerk during his first summer of law school, and he has been with the firm ever since. He focuses on cases handling plant and refinery accidents, industrial accidents, oilfield accidents, offshore accidents, and serious work injuries. In his second summer, he spent two weeks as part of the trial team that obtained a record-setting $209.26 million verdict for an oilfield worker who contracted a rare and deadly disease at his worksite.
