Large Truck Violently Backs Into Our Client, Injuring His Back

Arnold & Itkin has filed suit against Nebraska-based trucking company Bugeater Express, LLC and its Texas-based driver. Bugeater Express’ driver was at a stop sign in front of our client when, failing to pay attention, he violently backed into him. The impact caused our client severe and significant injuries, necessitating costly medical treatment.

Not only are 18-wheelers up to 10 times the weight and power of a regular car, but they’re also more difficult to maneuver. Professional drivers need to be held to professional standards, no matter what. Bugeater’s driver failed the professional standard required by his line of work, and our client paid the price.

But it’s not only the driver who was at fault. Companies like Bugeater are obligated to hire qualified, well-trained, and alert drivers. The company’s failure to ensure its drivers were operating its commercial vehicles safely, for whatever reason, means they need to be held responsible too.
