U-Haul Trailer Causes Jackknife Accident, Injures Family Man
The team at Arnold & Itkin recently filed suit against U-Haul and various subsidiaries and franchisees in response to an incident involving a rented trailer.
Our client rented the trailer from a U-Haul location in Harris County; U-Haul employees attached the trailer to his vehicle and attested that it was properly inspected, attached, and fit for travel. However, shortly after leaving the facility, the trailer detached, causing the car to jackknife. Our client, a husband and father, lost control and sustained serious injuries to his head and back.
“Individuals including our client trust and rely upon U-Haul to provide safe, working, and properly inspected equipment when they rent it,” AI attorney Noah Wexler commented. “When companies take short cuts and fail to properly train and supervise their employees, incidents like this happen and we as a community suffer the consequences.”
Arnold & Itkin looks forward to seeking the justice our client deserves for this terrible incident. This case was filed in Harris County.
