Case Filed For 64-Year-Old Woman Injured in Truck Accident
Arnold & Itkin truck accident attorneys Kurt Arnold, Caj Boatright, Roland Christensen, and Claire Schindler recently filed suit on behalf of a 64-year-old woman who was seriously injured when she was struck by a commercial truck.
Due to the recklessness and inattentiveness of the truck driver, our client’s life has been drastically changed. In the collision she suffered severe injuries to her neck, back, knees, and other parts of her body that have already required invasive and extensive medical treatment. The severity of her injuries has caused this active woman to cease all physical activities that she previously enjoyed, including basketball and jumping rope.
Trucking companies have a moral and legal obligation to provide comprehensive training to their drivers. This includes not just basic driving skills but also specialized instruction in safe driving practices, emergency response, and the responsible handling of a commercial truck, which is much larger and more complex than a standard automobile.
The proper training of truck drivers is not a mere formality but a necessity that can significantly reduce the risk of accidents. Well-trained drivers are more likely to exhibit defensive driving techniques, proper road etiquette, and heightened awareness of their surroundings—all factors that contribute to safer roads for everyone.
We look forward to earning our client the justice she deserves after this terrible incident. We filed this suit in Liberty County.
