Case Filed for Victim of Dallas, TX Apartment Attack
We are representing a client who was brutally assaulted while in the comfort of his own apartment. His attacker gained entry using an old access code.
Our client, a graduate of the University of Texas, was relaxing in his Dallas apartment when an unknown person entered his residence using an outdated access code. The person attacked our client, causing severe injuries to his knee, face, and head. The violent incident has also caused our client to experience significant emotional trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Apartments that utilize technology such as automated door locks with access codes must ensure that those codes are changed every time a new resident moves in. With the normal turnover that an apartment would expect, continuously changing these codes and clearing out old codes should be a number one priority for the safety of the residents. Our Dallas injury attorneys are fighting to hold all at-fault parties responsible for this horrific event.
“I am encouraged to help our client find justice after this scary and preventable incident,” said one of our attorneys in a statement. “Your home should be the one place where you feel comfortable and safe. These defendants failed to ensure that our client was safe in his own home, and I look forward to helping our client receive justice for these failures.”
