Representing College Student Injured In Truck Accident

We have filed suit on behalf of a 19-year-old student who was injured in a truck accident while she was driving back to campus after celebrating her younger brother’s high school graduation with her family.

Our client was driving down Interstate 10 in Chambers County when an 18-wheeler changed lanes while it was unsafe to do so and crashed into her vehicle. The force of the impact sent our client’s car into a fishtail, crashing into the median and spinning 180 degrees before being hit by the truck once again. This caused her vehicle to flip and roll over, ultimately ending upside down on the roadway.

She was quickly transported to the nearest hospital by EMS to treat her injuries. She suffers from neck, head, and shoulder pain as a result of the accident. The traumatic event has not only caused her physical pain and injury, but also emotional distress and anxiety.

Beyond the negligent driver, we are seeking to hold the trucking company accountable for their failure to ensure the safety of other road users. The act of changing lanes unsafely not only suggests a disregard for traffic rules on the part of the driver, but also a potential lack of proper training and supervision from the employing company.

We look forward to fighting on behalf of our young client and holding the negligent driver as well as the company that failed to properly train him responsible.
