Arnold & Itkin Wins $2.25 Billion Roundup Verdict
In a historic victory against Bayer/Monsanto, a well-educated jury has issued a $2.25 billion verdict in favor of our client: $250 million in compensatory damages and $2 billion in punitive damages. This marks the second Roundup victory won by Arnold & Itkin founder Jason Itkin, Noah Wexler, and Roland Christensen, along with Thomas R. Kline, Chris Gomez, Melissa Merck, and Toby L. Millrood of Kline & Spector.
The plaintiff in this case was John McKivison, who developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup at home and at work. The 12-person jury carefully considered the evidence in reaching the $2.25 billion verdict.
This is our team’s second trial against Monsanto. In the 1st case, we won a verdict of $175 million.
We have several trials scheduled over the next year and plan to show Monsanto that it cannot escape responsibility for its decades of misinformation about Roundup’s ability to cause cancer. The truth is coming out—and we look forward to getting the people Monsanto hurt their day in court.
