Case Filed for Cyclist Injured Near Construction Site
Attorneys Trent Shelton and Jason Itkin of Arnold & Itkin recently filed suit on behalf of a high school student who suffered serious injuries when a construction company working for a luxury hotel negligently left a cord stretched across a sidewalk with no warning signs.
Our client was cycling on the sidewalk when the cord caused him to be thrown from his bike, knocking him unconscious and injuring his neck and back. It is crucial for construction sites, especially those located in or near public spaces, to have clear signage and barriers. These measures are necessary to warn the public of potential dangers, such as obstructions or hazardous materials. In this case, the absence of warning signs around the hazardous cord directly contributed to the accident.
Our premises liability attorneys filed this suit in Harris County, Texas. We look forward to seeking justice on behalf of our client and ensuring that companies take care to protect our communities while doing their work.
