Case Filed for Man Killed by Severe Allergic Reaction
Arnold & Itkin attorneys Kurt Arnold, Roland Christensen, Alec Paradowski, Sam Long, Jim Long, and Danny Cassee have filed suit on behalf of a widow and her children who lost their husband and father to a severe allergic reaction.
The man had purchased food from an office-building café, but the café had not labeled the food as containing, or as even possibly being contaminated by, peanuts. The husband and father suffered a severe allergic reaction that ultimately killed him.
Food handling and labeling—particularly when it comes to known allergens—are paramount in protecting consumers of those foods. A peanut allergy is not an obscure or rare condition; it is one of the most common and serious allergies there can be. This allergy is one of many that food establishments should be well aware of and provide disclosure of as needed. A simple warning label would have prevented this unnecessary tragedy.
Our wrongful death lawyers filed this suit in Harris County, Texas. Arnold & Itkin looks forward to fighting for justice on behalf of this family.
