Lawdragon Shines Spotlight on Arnold & Itkin for 20th Anniversary

Kurt Arnold and Jason Itkin first met as undergrads, unaware of how life-changing their partnership would be for one another. After two decades of building a firm together and securing over $22 billion in recovery for plaintiffs, Arnold & Itkin was featured in a spotlight article from renowned legal publication Lawdragon.
The article covers our firm’s early years, including the period where Kurt and Jason worked together for the same boutique law firm before founding a firm on their own.
"We'd go out with friends and then and we'd be back to Kurt's place afterwards, and talk about what it would look like if we started our own firm," Jason says in the article. "What I didn't realize at the time is that Kurt is the most organized person I've ever met. As we were talking, Kurt would be taking notes of all the things we needed to do to start our own firm."
No Matter How Tough It Is
Those first days saw the young founders take a bold but scrappy strategy: they offered to take firms’ toughest cases to prove what they could do. After they secured a seven-figure settlement on their first case—which a lot of firms flat-out turned away—it was clear that Kurt and Jason were a formidable team.
The article covers what it was like for the firm in those early years: “If someone was going to give us an opportunity, we'd drive for four hours and meet with them for lunch and drive four hours home," Kurt said. "We started getting referrals from other law firms. We tried a lot of cases and were fortunate to win a lot of big verdicts, and eventually we built a great reputation."
We’re grateful to be featured for the 20th anniversary of our firm’s founding—read the article for yourself to see how far we’ve come.
