Suit Filed for Worker Injured on Land Rig

A team of Arnold & Itkin attorneys, led by Cory Itkin, has filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas for a worker who was injured while working on a land rig.
While he was performing work on the rig floor, our client’s employer failed to properly supervise the drilling operations. This negligence on the company’s part led to our client getting struck by a drill pipe, which caused him to sustain catastrophic injuries to his back. He has already had to undergo back surgery, and he likely has more medical procedures and physical therapy ahead of him before he can reach recovery.
While certain industries, like oil and gas extraction, have jobs that carry inherent occupational hazards, employers have clear regulations to abide by when it comes to worker safety. When there is a lapse in work practices, equipment safety, and other areas, these tend to demonstrate that a company is willing to risk their workers’ safety simply to cut costs.
Our workplace injury lawyers are eager to help another injured worker get the medical treatment he needs and the compensation he deserves. We are ready to demand justice on his behalf. No matter what.
