When you first meet your client, they’re at an absolute low point. Something awful has happened, something terrible, and they’ve turned to you for help. They have put an enormous, enormous amount of trust in you.
When I represent somebody, it is very personal to me. When I meet somebody face-to-face, and I see all that they’re going through and how they’re being treated…a lot of times, it infuriates me. I love being able to take care of it. Not getting the best medical care? Not a problem anymore—I’ll solve that. You’re getting harassed by the company? Not a problem anymore—I’ll solve that. You’re worried about bills? Don’t worry about it—I’ll solve that. You worry about getting better. You worry about taking care of your family. Let me worry about everything else.
We are real people, and we want our clients to feel that they can tell us anything. [We want them to feel] that we are here to help them, that we understand what they’re going through. Because when we start the journey with our clients, wherever they may be to wherever they’re going, we’re there with them every step of the way. We’re your lawyers. We’re your friends. We’re the people that are here to help.
